Clarkson College has not always been a college. Instead, we began in 1888 as a school of nursing—the first in the state of Nebraska. Over the last 125 years, we've established a new campus, expanded our program offerings and adopted a new name. All the while, we've maintained a commitment to preparing our students to be the best in various realms of health care. Clarkson College to Host Pioneering Therapeutic Neuroscience Education Event

An advanced Continuing Education Unit (CEU) event on October 21-22 will focus on Therapeutic Neuroscience Education (TNE). Hosted at Clarkson College, it will provide a comprehensive insight into the current practices, research findings, and clinical applications of TNE, especially for patients experiencing pain.

The significance of TNE lies in its holistic approach to pain management, integrating the understanding of neuroscience with therapeutic practices. It equips health care providers with strategies to educate their patients about the neurophysiology of pain, ultimately enhancing patient outcomes and paving the way for more effective treatments.

Evidence in Motion (EIM), an institution dedicated to elevating the role of physical therapists and other health care professionals in the health care hierarchy, will lead the course presentation. Drawing from its vast expertise and cutting-edge research, EIM will take participants on a journey through the latest evidence surrounding TNE and the complexities of the human nervous system, enhancing the understanding of pain's origins and the potential therapeutic interventions.

The event invites a broad spectrum of health care providers, including Physical Therapists (PT), Occupational Therapists (OT), Physical Therapist Assistants (PTA), Occupational Therapist Assistants (OTA), Athletic Trainers (ATC), and other health care professionals. Attendees can expect a rich blend of theoretical knowledge and hands-on experience, enabling them to bring newfound insights into their respective practices.
