Leverage Your PTA Experience for Leadership Opportunities or Prepare for PT School—On Your Schedule!
The Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapist Assistant (BS PTA) degree offered by Clarkson College was designed for working professionals who want to advance their careers without putting life on hold. Students can continue earning a competitive wage as a licensed PTA while advancing their education. While expanding knowledge and professional experience, students benefit from networking and learning alongside PTAs from across the nation.
Enrolling in the BS PTA program is seamless. Applications are accepted year-round and a minimum of 56 credit hours from an associate of science in PTA degree transfers directly into the BS PTA program. Full and part-time options are available whether enrolling in the fall, spring, or summer semester. The BS PTA program allows a student to work toward their career preference with specialized concentrations, Pre-Physical Therapy and Leadership. Those pursuing the pre-PT school option will have online courses in advanced physical therapy skills and in-person science classes from which they will gain valuable experience before entering graduate studies. The Leadership track positions a graduate for roles such as Director of Rehabilitation, Business Development Manager, Clinical Specialist, or PTA faculty. Courses for this concentration are 100% online, allowing students to advance their education while continuing to work.
