Clarkson College Graduate Nursing Ranked Top 100 by U.S. News

Clarkson College has once again been ranked among the top 100 Best Online Graduate Nursing Programs in the country by U.S. News & World Report. This marks the 14th year the program has received this recognition. The College was also ranked in the top 25 Best Online Master’s in Nursing Programs for Veterans.

This long-standing recognition highlights the College’s excellence in online nursing education. “Our continued ranking by U.S. News & World Report reflects the hard work of our dedicated faculty and leadership team,” said Dr. Jessica Fitzgerald, Director of Graduate Nursing Programs.

Rankings are based on data collected from institutions offering online master’s degree programs. Programs must be accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) or the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) and provide all non-clinical coursework online. Rankings are determined using five key factors: engagement (30%), faculty credentials and training (20%), peer assessment (20%), services and technology (20%), and student excellence (10%).

This recognition is timely as more people seek online education opportunities. Clarkson College has been a leader in online learning for many years, offering students resources, flexibility, and support.

“We understand the challenges our students face, including working full-time and caring for their families,” Dr. Fitzgerald said. “Our program is known for its strong online learning focus and flexibility, preparing students to become leaders in nursing.”

Students in the online graduate nursing program can choose from five specialties: Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, Adult Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner, Nursing Education, Nursing Health Care Administration, and Family Nurse Practitioner. Post-MSN certificate options are also available. Additionally, the Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) program is designed for certified nurse practitioners and builds on advanced practice skills.
