Clarkson College Extends Contract for Interim President

I am pleased to share that on Monday, December 13, 2021, the Clarkson College Board of Directors will announce that they extended the contract for Gary Pack, Ed.D., who has agreed to continue to serve as the Interim President of Clarkson College until May 2023.

Dr. Pack joined the institution as the Interim President in June 2021. Since his time at the College, Dr. Pack assisted in the launch of two new academic program options: a Bachelor of Science in Community Health, Pre-Health Professional and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology. Recently, with the support of the Board of Directors, he helped facilitate a strategic plan to support the institution’s growth in the coming years, aligning with Shaping Health Care, a recent campaign showcasing the institution’s innovative approach to health care education. In fall 2021, Dr. Pack was featured in the Omaha Magazine Higher Education Issue for his insights into how Clarkson College has remained student focused throughout the pandemic.

A lifelong educator and administrator, Dr. Pack previously served as superintendent for various school systems and as President of The Christ College of Nursing and Health Sciences in Ohio prior to his time at Clarkson College. The expertise he lends to the College will allow the institution to continue to remain dedicated to its Mission of preparing the best health care professionals while aligning with the Values of Integrity, Commitment, Excellence, Learning and Caring.

Please join me in congratulating Dr. Gary Pack on the extension of his role as Interim President of Clarkson College.

Sincerely,
Steven B. Black, M.D.
Chairman, Clarkson College Board of Directors
