Graduate Nursing and Healthcare Administration Programs Ranked Among Highest in the Nation

RegisteredNursing.org, a nursing advocacy organization, recently ranked multiple Clarkson College programs among the best in the nation for 2021. The following program options received recognition:

#2 Best MSN in Nursing Administration
#4 Best Online Family Nurse Practitioner
#5 Best Nurse Educator Program

“We are honored to be recognized for our Graduate Nursing and Healthcare Administration programs,” says Director of Graduate Nursing Layna Himmelberg, Ed.D., MSN, CNE. “Our outstanding faculty and driven students set us apart from other institutions as we strive to prepare the best in health care.”

Another aspect that sets Clarkson College apart is the recently launched dual degree option in MSN and Master of Healthcare Administration that allows students to earn multiple Master’s degrees consecutively. The curriculum focuses on communication, leadership, ethics and diversity and prepares nurses to lead within a variety of health care business settings.

“The dual degree option allows students to take their education one step further by earning Master’s degrees in both Nursing and Healthcare Administration,” says Director of Healthcare Business and Health Information Management Carla Dirkschneider, MS, RHIA. “The flexible online curriculum is designed for working professionals who want to learn to evaluate and solve real-world health care issues.”

The Registered Nursing organization ranks programs by utilizing data from multiple sources including the Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System and U.S. Department of Education Office of Postsecondary Education. Individual programs are awarded points based on certain factors including whether or not the institution is accredited and if they offer online education options. The methodology also considers acceptance rate, graduation rate, diversity of options and other factors.
