Intelligent.com recognized three Clarkson College programs as outstanding online education options for health care professionals. The site ranked the Associate’s degree in Health Information Technology as the seventh best online option for registered health information technicians. They also ranked the Registered Nurse (RN) to Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) option as the twelfth best online degree program for nurses. The Doctor in Education & Leadership (Ed.D.) program was ranked as the thirty-eighth best option for those interested in becoming a leader in health care education.
Health Information Technology
The site ranked the Associate’s degree in Health Information Technology option in the top ten in the nation and specifically emphasized Clarkson College as offering the best practical lab experience. The program option is offered 100 percent online and prepares students to sit for exams to become a Registered Health Information Technologist (RHIT).
The College received an Intelligent score of 83.82 based on a 100-point scale. Programs are ranked according to faculty, flexibility, reputation, course strength and cost. Intelligent.com considered only online or hybrid programs in their rankings as well as programs accredited by the Commission on Accreditation for Health Informatics and Information Management Education (CAHIIM).
RN to BSN
Intelligent.com ranked the RN to BSN option as the twelfth best online option for registered nurses who want to earn an advanced education. Students in the Clarkson College option complete courses 100 percent online and can choose part- or full-time study options. The degree option is poised to help the Institute of Medicine reach its goal of ensuring that 80 percent of RNs in the nation hold their Bachelor’s degree by 2020.
The College received an Intelligent score of 78.5 based on a 100-point scale. The rankings included online programs that did not have on-campus requirements and were accredited by one of two nursing education commissions. The Clarkson College Nursing program is accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN).
Education & Leadership
The Ed.D. option was recognized as being one of the best choices in the nation, and in their rankings, Intelligent.com emphasized the program’s flexibility. Students can complete their doctorate degree on a part- or full-time basis and can tailor their curriculum and research to meet their professional environment and goals.
The Ed.D. program received an Intelligent score of 64.67 based on a 100-point scale. The site considered reputation, course strength, cost and flexibility in its rankings and included only accredited programs in their list. The Clarkson College Ed.D. program is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission (HLC).
